To celebrate, Saakashvili just yesterday moved up Tbilisoba, a celebration that typically takes place at the end of October to this weekend, declaring Friday a national holiday. Thus, with barely 48 hours notice, schools are off, businesses shut, and the major traffic corridor through town is prematurely shut down, engendering a traffic nightmare. All this (silly?) efficacy causes me to wonder: can Misha really be more powerful than Barack Obama?
